Tomorrow, Saturday the 28th, is the big day - "Snowman Jamboree." There will be a photo contest you can enter. Bring a photo with you of a snowman in your yard or someone else's yard. The winner will be announced at the end of the day. We have some door prizes to give away. There will be Snowman Treats, "Snow Face Painting", Coffee Tastings and Live Music with an open mike format. So join us anytime tomorrow between 8am and 5pm as we celebrate winter. Yah!!!

This past weekend Doug and I returned home to our old "stomping ground" and visited the Allegany County Fair in Angelica, NY. The fairgrounds are like an old shirt to Doug since he spent many hours there as a kid showing his beloved sheep and a horse. We had the privilege of seeing Christian Comedian Mark Lowry perform. And he sang my ultimate favorite song - "Mary Did You Know." It was awesome! Thank you so much to the lady who gave us tickets to get in! I hope the Lord blesses you! (we weren't aware there would be an extra fee to get into the grandstand) And thank you Lord for causing those two police officers to walk by us just at the moment that Doug shouted, "My wallet is missing!" Thankfully the officers had it and nothing was missing. God is so awesome!

Fabulous Weekend

Wow what great weather for the 4th of July. Doug and I spent the weekend at my brother Jimmy's house on Lake Conesus. The best part was spending time with my family. I was traumetized by his little girls though. They left us a note in our tent letting us know that there was a ghost in our tent but that we should have sweet dreams. Yikes! They are both so cute.

Please pray for our oldest son Drew and his wife Jordan. They are waiting for a position as a Pastor of a church or as an Assistant Pastor. They know they have to wait on God's perfect timing, but they are getting anxious. It has been a whole year since Drew graduated from Bible College and the waiting is hard. So if you think of Drew and Jordan, please pray that God will open just the right doors. Thank you.

This post is late...better late than never I guess. Cody, our baby, graduated this past June from highschool. It's hard to believe the time has gone so quickly. Now he plans to attend Pittsburg Technical Institute and major in Computer Programming. He wants to write lines of code. I guess all those times of shortening his name to "Code" paid off...gave him a great idea...had to take credit for his "smarts" in some fashion. We're proud of you Cody.

Sacrificial LOVE

Today is a day to reflect on that fateful day...9-11 I was speaking to a friend this morning that 9-11 will be to our generation what Pearl Harbor Day is to the older generation. I've seen movies about September 11th and how the people on the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania put their lives on the line to prevent further detriment to our country. So many in our great nation have great big huge hearts and care and love people amidst all the hatred in other parts of the world. Today as we remember those who died that horrible day, I also reflect on the love of so many who gave of themselves that day. It is a direct picture of the love of Jesus who gave of His own life so that others might have life. That's a great big huge heart...to love others so much that He was willing to die for them. What a Wonderful Wedding

The wedding was so wonderful. Someone should have given me a heads up about how exhausting it would be!!! Wow. But Doug and I are so happy for Drew and Jordan. The best part of the wedding is when Drew & Jordan were pronounced "Mr. & Mrs. Taylor" by Pastor Max and Drew bent down and picked Jordan up to carry her down the isle...but Pastor Max said, "WAIT I'm not done" Everyone was cracking up laughing as he set her back down. Pastor Max then said, "I better grab your hands". He then said a little something and prayed over them. He then said, "OK you can go now". Drew again grabbed her up and then carried her as they went down the isle. So precious. I'll never forget it. Best wishes Drew and Jordan - have a wonderful, God-filled life together. We love you both.

I called Drew first thing this morning to hear how excited he was to be coming home today for his Saturday wedding. Silly me, he had already left and was almost to his fiance's home. Today friends are throwing them a lunch party. How fun! I can't wait to see Jordan walk down the aisle in the dress she made herself. And I can't wait to see the look on Drew's face when she does. How precious.

Its JUNE and my baby's getting MARRIED !!!!

Wow, I can't believe it's June already and that Drew will be getting married this Saturday, June 14th. The time has flown. I'm so excited for Jordan and him to be starting this wonderful adventure together called marriage, that God instituted for us. They will be married by our dear Pastor Max Simms and at Bethany Baptist Camp near Jamestown, NY. This is the Bible Camp where Drew met Jordan some 3 years ago. What better place for them to repeat their vows than where they met. Doug and I are excited for them both and excited about Saturday...it will be a wonderful celebration.

Hope I don't cry...my baby's getting married!!! I love you Drew and I am so proud of you. I'm especially proud that you want to serve the Lord Jesus and be a Pastor to make a difference in the lives of others. I know you made a difference in my life already. Your Dad and I are blessed to have you as our Son and now we'll have beautiful Jordan as our daughter.

Puppets Flying Out the Door

I have to apologize that I was not able to get a photo on the blog site of the angora rabbit puppets before they were all purchased, but I assure you they all went to good homes. Today the cutest of all puppets arrived..."white, fluffy, angora rabbits" They are just a ball of fluff. I'll post a picture soon, but you got to pet them, they are so soft and adorable. We also got in these cute little puppets in a box.
These puppets are the best kids toys I've ever seen. They inspire the imagination, require no batteries and best of all they look so real. We have a huge selection to choose from. They will make fantastic Easter gifts and great for Birthdays too.

Puppets Have Arrived !

As you can see, we have added a wonderful new product to our store, Folkmanis Puppets. These award winning puppets are so life-like and cuddly. We have fallen in love with all of them. Just in time for Easter and Spring are rabbit puppets, lambs, and ducks. There are cute little finger puppets such as a monarch butterflies all the way up to great big dragon puppets. A very unique gift for a child or even adults!

Kaylee's Grandmother

Today our dear sweet Kaylee called to say that her Grandmother on her Mother's side passed away. Kaylee said she went very peacefully. She simply listened to scripture being read from the book of Psalms and then went to sleep and met her Savior on the other side. The passage was the 31st Psalm. If you read it you'll get such a blessing.

My sympathy goes out to Kaylee and her family at this time. Losing someone you love is never easy. It helps to know that she had a personal relationship with Jesus as her Savior and will spend an eternity with Him in heaven.

Congrats to Justin Lund for doing so great in school. He has a secret weapon....Emerald Irish Lattes. Every time Justin gets a really great test score...he talks his Dad into buying him his fav latte. For those of you who have never tried Justin's drink, its a latte flavored with white chocolate and irish cream. Sometimes he likes an extra shot of espresso added. Imagine that Justin loaded up with extra caffeine. That can't be good. So big CONGRATS to Justin.

Slippery When Frozen !

This morning this Porchgal...almost...fell on her posterior end. Sidewalk was a sheet of ice. For those of you who don't live in the North. That's slippery. Sidewalk looks dry and normal but SURPRISE, it's not. Wheeeee. I threw down the rugs on the sidewalk for customers so they could get to the door without their ice-skates this morning. Don't ya just love it.
