The Country Porch began June 1st of 2004. The vision of our gift shop was to one day move the business into one of the beautiful homes of Smethport; one with a great big porch - you know the kind - one where you can stretch out on a hammock on a sunny afternoon with a good book and fall asleep. That never happened. The business grew too quickly when we added the ever popular gourmet coffee shop on the side of the gift shop. Before we knew it the business was established in our quaint town as "the coffee shop" and moving seemed out of the question. Our shop is located in the heart of Smethport where kids find us on their walk home from school, residents stop in on their way to work, and travellers stop in as they pass by on the famous Route 6. We may not have an actual porch, but we sure do welcome all as if we did. We are a family owned and operated business. We started this business from scratch. We treat each and every customer as if they were a visitor in our own home. Please come in and feel welcome. Rock in one of our rocking chairs if you have a minute or two.
